This traditional casita (‘tiny home’) – thoughtfully transformed into an open-plan, light-filled space – is for guests who want to awake each morning to mountain vistas from the comfort of an extra long, king size bed. Climb stairs to a spacious galley kitchen, with full height ceiling and skylights in the eaves. Listen to birdsong and the gentle toll of cowbells from a shaded east-facing terrace, or soak in the quiet bustle of Asturian village life from a sunsoaked west-facing balcony overlooking the ‘plaza’.
A Tiny House with Big Personality
This traditional Asturian casita may be small in name, but its clever open-plan layout across two floors gives it a real sense of space and light. Vaulted ceilings, skylights and glass doors at each end fill the living areas with sunshine, opening onto two private terraces – one facing east for peaceful sunrises over the mountains, the other west for golden sunsets above the village square. The kitchen is a joy for anyone who loves to cook, with everything you need for proper meals: quality pans, serving dishes and plenty of crockery and glassware. There are cosy corners to read or unwind, a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and separate toilet and a full multimedia system with books, DVD and CD player for evenings in.
