- Preserving Local Heritage Trails: We take great pride in maintaining the ancient woodland pathways surrounding our property. By keeping these trails clear of weeds and debris, we ensure that both our guests and local residents can enjoy these historic routes. These pathways, which have been used for centuries, are not just routes for walking; they are part of our cultural heritage, offering a serene and enjoyable experience for everyone who traverses them.
- Supporting Local Charities: Our commitment to the community extends to monetary contributions to local charitable causes. A significant recipient is La Benefica (https://labenefica.org), a local organization dedicated to various community initiatives. By donating to such causes, we actively support and uplift the invaluable work they do for the people of Asturias.
- Conserving the Village's Horreos: One of our most challenging yet rewarding tasks is the maintenance of the Horreos in the village square. These iconic Asturian structures are not only aesthetically pleasing but also hold historical significance. Despite the high costs and difficulties involved, we allocate funds specifically for their upkeep. This is our way of preserving an important part of our local heritage.
Our dedication to these community projects is further supported by the sales from our on-site shop. We donate all products, and 100% of the proceeds go towards these noble causes. Additionally, our customers have the opportunity to contribute directly via PayPal, allowing them to be a part of our community-focused initiatives.
